كتب الوزير السّابق هيكتور حجّار:

إنّ قتلَ طفلٍ بغارةٍ جريمةٌ جسيمة، والصمتُ تواطؤ. هذه الجريمة تحدث أمام أعين المنظمات الدولية، ولا سيّما منظمة اليونيسف. أين أنتم من واجبكم في حماية الأطفال؟
 Killing a child through an airstrike is a heinous crime, and silence is complicity. This situation is unfolding before the eyes of the international organizations, including UNICEF. Isn't it your duty to ensure children's safety?
