A meeting was held Friday night between the opposition leaders, including Free Patriotic Movement leader General Michel Aoun, House Speaker Nabih Berri, Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Marada Movement leader MP Sleiman Franjiyeh as well as Development and Liberation bloc MP Ali Hassan Khalil, Hezbollah secretary general’s political aide Hussein Khalil, Telecommunications Minister Gebran Bassil and Hezbollah’s head of security Wafik Safa.
Hezbollah issued a statement after the meeting saying that the opposition agrees to participate in a national-unity government in line with the outcome of negotiations held by the PM-designate.
