Youssef Hanna Khalil:
Born in 1947, in Mairouba, Lebanon.
Married to Lina Rassi (PHD in French literature from Sorbonne University), and a father of two daughters Elsy and Samar.
Educational Background:
He attended his complementary and elementary classes at Freres Maristes school; presently known as Champville. He then got transferred to College of Apostles, Jounieh, in order to continue his secondary education and graduate with the Lebanese Baccalaureate Level II.
He studied Medicine at the French Medical School of Beirut that was later known as the Saint Joseph University (USJ).
After graduating from the French Medical School in 1975, he was resident in general surgery for three years, and then he moved to France where he pursued his specialized studies in Urology.
Medical field
Doctorate degree in Medicine from the French State, June 1975 (St Joseph University) Beirut – Lebanon.
Specialization diploma degree in Urology (D.E.S.) from USJ and Paris hospitals.
Languages: Arabic, French & English (Spoken & Written)
Once he returned to Lebanon, he practiced medicine at PASTEUR, ST. LOUIS, Jounieh and Saint George Hospital in Ajaltoun as an urologist surgeon.
He was assigned chief of Urology department at Saint George Hospital in Ajaltoun.
In addition to all of the above, Dr.Youssef is member of several national and international societies and associations, including the Lebanese Association of Urology. Has published many scientific and medical articles and was chairman, moderator, lecturer in many local Arabic and international urological meetings.
Political field:
In June 2005, Dr.Youssef was elected member of the Lebanese parliament as an ally to the Free Patriotic Movement, representing the Kesrouan-Ftouh -Jbeil district in Mont Lebanon on the "Change and Reform" list headed by General Michel Aoun.
Since member of the "Change and Reform" Block in the Lebanese parliament.
Member of the Lebanese Parliament since June 2005.
Member of General Health and Social Affairs Committee at the Lebanese parliament.
