Gilberte Maurice Zouein
Descendant of a well-known political family, having contributed to Lebanon’s independence in 1943, and daughter of his Excellency Maurice Bey Zouein.

Holder of political science and ancient history degrees from the Jesuit fathers’ university, Is active in cultural and social areas, and works on activating and boosting the role of women in all fields,
Has been representing Lebanon in many international seminars and conferences, Was elected MP in 2005 on the “Change and Reform” list, after two previous unsuccessful bids due to her opposition and noncompliance to the Syrian Occupation’s instructions
