     2005 – present. Elected on the “Change and Reform” list headed by General

     Michel Aoun.

•  Rapporteur of the Foreign Relations Commission and Member of the National 

    Education Commission in Lebanese Parliament, June 2005- present.

• Founder and president of NGO Mubadarat Lilinma’ (Development Initiatives).

  Founded in 2006, Mubadarat works on development issues in the fields of the

  Environment, Youth, Good Governance, Women Empowerment, and Education,

  both at the regional and national levels. Mubadarat’s recent activities include

  the holding of the first major conference on development in Kisrwan-Ftouh on

  March 7 and 8, 2008, in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

• Founding member of the Civic Center for National Initiative, 2007- present.

• Coordinator of the “Church and Politics” working group in the Maronite Church

   Synod that ended in 2006.

• Member of the Maronite League’s Political Committee, 2007- Present.

• Member of the Board of the Maronite Center for Documentation and Research,

   2004-present.

• Professor of Political Studies, American University of Beirut, 1988 – present.

• Former Chairperson of the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration,

  American University of Beirut, 2000-2005

• Former Editor of an academic Journal AL-Abhath, 1996 – 1998.
